KEEP YOUR DATA SAFE WITH THE ACTIVE BACKUP EXPERT

10/21/2001 - OrionSoftLab has released the Active Backup Expert 1.50 for
Windows, a program that creates compressed backups of files to floppy disks,
hard drives, CD's and other removables in local or wide network, and
synchronizes files on two PCs.

The Active Backup Expert (ABE) offers you a ready-to-use solution in
protecting your files from accidents and unwanted changes.

Whether your data is on a network or on a stand-alone computer, the ABE
takes an image of your files, folders or entire disks, and is always ready
to bring them back.

Point the ABE to what files you wish to back up and where to place the copy.
After that, you are free to create any number of copies with a single
keystroke, or automatically by using the internal scheduler.

To have the same files on two computers, just export the last backup to the
removable media or to a remote FTP server on one PC, and restore it on
another PC independently of the Windows platform installed on these
machines.

With a Wizard-style interface you can control all aspects of a backup-set:
the paths and the filters of included and excluded files, the schedule when
to create backups and the folder where to store them, and the incremental or
differential backup method.

You can choose if the next backup will contain all files, or only the new
and changed files.

You'll never forget where your backups are. The ABE lists all made copies
together in a single place. You can explore each of them, recover any or all
files stored, and view or edit their content.

The ABE's command line support lets you place the command to back up into a
batch file. The ActiveX Automation interface helps you to add the back up
function to your own application.

The ABE creates unattended backups by using the Active Task Manager included
in the installation package. While executing as a stand-alone program, this
automation utility will help you to schedule other tasks.

The Active Backup Expert 1.50 is available in two editions: Standard ($19.95
US) and Professional ($45 US). The Professional version includes the Active
Task Manager, lets you schedule your backups, and performs other advanced
functions such as selecting the file locking strategy, password-protecting
backup files, and filtering files by size and attributes. Quantity discounts
