Checkers is a two-player board game played on a checkered board with 12 black pieces and 12 red pieces. The game is played by moving the pieces diagonally forward, jumping over one piece of the same color if it is adjacent to the moving piece. If a piece cannot move, it is captured and removed from the board. The game is won by either capturing all of the opponent’s pieces, or trapping the opponent’s pieces so they cannot make any more moves.
